The following subjects are considered hot topics and should be avoided to not incite drama or unhealthy debate: Essentially consider your audience and avoid disrespecting the views of others.

- Child rearing/discipline (i.e., spanking)
- Circumcision
- Religion
- Politics
- Sexuality
- Former Members or Gossip
When it comes to religion and politics, asking about particular curriculum resources and suggestions are okay. Essentially, know your company and their beliefs before expressing yours in mixed company.
